Light RTM Training Course Expands

Magnum Venus Plastech (M.V.P.) Takes Light RTM Training World-Wide

Kent, WA – Magnum Venus Plastech is pleased to announce that the Light RTM Training Course, pioneered by industry expert Alan Harper, will now be offered at locations around the world. Alan Harper developed this comprehensive Light RTM Training Course over 20 years ago, and though many have tried to duplicate the techniques and training offered in this course, none have come close to matching the original.
Now the course has expanded to include eight detailed classroom presentations covering the LRTM process from beginning to end, another full day of training, more training locations and three of the industry’s leading experts as training instructors.  Between them, these three instructors, Alan Harper, Charles Tur and Ward Creasey, have over 80 years of Composites Industry experience.  The course will continue to be held at the MVP RTM Division in the United Kingdom, as well as at the MVP Technology Center in Kent, Washington and at the facilities of MVP Distributors around the world.
The purpose of this course is to provide customers, who are considering the move to closed mould technology, with the tools and training they need to make the changeover successful.  To that end, the three day training course includes extensive classroom lectures on the technology and techniques behind the process, the real costs and benefits of using Light RTM, and then moves to hands-on training from tooling the mould and counter mould, and finishes with the injection of a finished part.
The full training course is set up to be a strong transfer of the technology of mould building, and allow each attendee to gain a good basis of knowledge to take back to their company, and easily put into practice.  Each person who attends the course receives the comprehensive training course manual, which discusses in detail the practices they learn during the class, as well as other training materials to use as reference once they are back at work.  With these tools, our attendees have the knowledge base they need to get their Light RTM operation up and running.
If you are considering the move to closed mould production, or have already begun using closed moulding in your production, then it is likely you will find the training and techniques learned during this course essential in taking your production to new levels.
Bill Waits of Correct Craft, Inc., a recent student of the first North American training course, said of the training course: “The best RTM class that I have seen or been a part of.  The hands-on demos were great…also, the class room format and the reference material given were also the best.  M.V.P. now has one stop composite shopping for F.R.P.”
