RTM Mould Accessories

Air Ejector valve.
Part ref. 0580
The unit is designed to be moulded flush with mould face. In operation it retracts the face and simultaneously forces compressed ejection air between the mould and moulded part.
Mould Seals
Silicone and neoprene seals ensure that a ‘closed mould’ does as its name implies and keeps the resin within the mould.
Part ref. 0002 Silicone seal 10mm x 5mm, standard resin primary seal made from high temperature and wear resistant silicone.
Part ref. 0979 Standard mould-edge secondary seal for vacuum security. Closed cell neoprene.
Part ref. 1062 Soft neoprene seal, used as alternative for standard tooling and MIT.
Part ref. 1114 Dynamic primary resin seal. Features unique active control of seal dimension using external vacuum and pressure controller.
Part ref. 2872 Dynamic seal pneumatic controller.
Part ref. 2056 Dynamic seal installation kit
Part ref. 5857 Dynamic seal heavy duty.

Air Ejector control switch.
Part ref. 1949
Air Ejector control switch including fittings and pipe.

Mould dowel and clamp jack.
Part ref. 2653
This assembly is designed for welding to RTM mould steel frames providing accurate location of the two mould halves and simultaneously providing a basic method of mould clamping. The robust design forms the basis for optional toggle mould clamping to be fitted. (see below).

Calibration Materials
These can be supplied either as sheet wax or cork in thicknesses. These materials are used when building the mould to accurately determine the product thickness.

Calibration Thickness Wax
Supplied in a range of thicknesses with a strong self adhesive backing.

One sheet surface area = 0.18m2.
Part ref. 0007 - One sheet 0.5mm Wax.
Part ref. 0008 - One sheet 1.0mm Wax.
Part ref. 0009 - One sheet 1.5mm Wax.
Part ref. 0010 - One sheet 2.0mm Wax.
Part ref. 0012 - One sheet 3.0mm Wax.
Part ref. 1417 - One sheet 4.0mm Wax.

Please note: wax is supplied boxed in varying sheet quantity. Contact Magnum Venus Plastech Limited for further information.

Mould Injection and Venting
A case hardened injection/vent port designed to moulded into the composite mould skin. The injection port can be plugged after injection with a PTFE tipped sprue plug. The vent port is designed to be lined with a PTFE liner, which reduces the sprue to 6mm. This enables the liner to be either plugged with a vent pin or 6mm nylon tubing can be inserted to bleed the resin into a catchpot.

Part Ref. 0123: 1/2” Case hardened spure/vent port
Part Ref. 0120: PTFE vent liner 1/2”-6mm
Part Ref. 0121: PTFE Sprue plug
Part Ref. 0122: PTFE Sprue plug replacement tip
Part Ref. 0124: Vent shut off pin
Part Ref. 0208: 6mm clear nylon pipe
Part Ref. 5833: Turbo Autosprue ‘locksert’ insert

Calibration Thickness Cork
Calibration cork provides the mould builder with an ecnomic alternative to calibration wax. Supplied in a range of thicknesses with strong self-adhesive backing.

Thickness tolerance better than 0.1mm.

Part ref. 0258 - 1.0mm
Part ref. 0259 - 1.5mm
Part ref. 0260 - 2.0mm
