Great success-Rapid Silicone vacuum bag production and casting demonstration day.

Many enthusiastic comments and interest resulted from attendees at MVP's UK demonstration day which provided practical demonstrations of rapid silicon bag production with the new MVP Siloject 121 using Silopren* RTV 2025 VBS Blue from Momentive Performance Materials.

All variants on the use of this outstanding Silopren* material where shown. From casting silicone tooling blocks, used for complex closed mould inserts, to injection of a complete helmet pressure bag in seconds left attendees in no doubt that MVP's Siloject 121 model provided an ideal method to manufacture perfect castings, pressure injections and sprayed Momentive's Silopren* fast cure silicone material.

In seconds the machine dispenser nozzle was changed from an injection to a spray tip and a boat hatch cover bag was manufactured by spray technique in less than 15 minutes. All the silicone products produced during the demonstrations where demoulded within 30 minutes. One produced silicone vacuum bag was used to vacuum mould a helmet in both polyester and, in a heated mould, in epoxy.

The inclusion of nylon mesh reinforcement and inserts for vacuum and resin infusion was shown. Short presentations followed the 2 and a half hour practical time providing attendees with complete details of equipment and material specifications and availability.

MVP Ltd said that, the response to this event was excellent and offered a resume of the presentations to any who missed the event to contact them, and details would copied through by e mail.

MVP Ltd now include the Siloject 121 machine and material demonstrations at their UK Closed mould Technology and training courses the most recent completed this week The next scheduled course will take place at there UK facility in February 5th – 7th  2008
